 Laboratory of Bioengineering

   The research in this field is based on a fusion of biology, chemistry and engineering, and focuses on what foods are most desirable for living organisms and humans, and how such foods can be designed and manufactured. The focus is on how all the information in food is perceived in a comprehensive form, combining perception in the brain and reception in the gastrointestinal tract, and how such information can be incorporated into the food structure.
